Menzel Redesigns Singer,
Offers Gas Combustion Analyzer

2004-5-17

A redesigned singer from Karl Menzel Maschinenfabrik GmbH & Co., Germany, enables the operator to change from a multi-ratio mixer to a zero regulator valve, requiring only one gas screw and setting adjustment, and allowing a constant ratio of air and gas. The new singer is equipped with a control potentiometer on the operations panel and a blower with a variable-speed inverter motor to control mixing air volume. The singeing flame intensity can be set manually or programmed for different products and line speeds.

In addition to the singer, Menzel now offers an industrial gas combustion analyzer to detect the thermal property differences between gas and air. The analyzer can handle between 0- to 3-percent or 0- to 100-percent CA in air or nitrogen.
